«Amanda» de Lilian Villaseñor
Amanda y Manuel son amigos, van a la misma escuela. Mientras deciden hacer un estencil en las paredes de la ciudad, algo más nace. Sin embargo, el día de la cita Manuel no aparece,y ahora Amanda tiene que regresar a la escuela sin saber exáctamente por qué Manuel, la dejó plantada.
SINOPSIS EN INGLÉS
Amanda and Manuel are friends, they go to the same school. While they decide to make a stencil on the city walls, something else is born. However, on the day of the appointment, Manuel does not appear, and now Amanda has to go back to school without knowing exactly why Manuel stood her up.
Liliana Villaseñor studied at the Taller Cinematográfico de Mantarraya (now called Escuela Superior de Cine) where she produced and directed her short film “Para irse, volver”, released in 2016 in festivals like Anamórfico Film Fest and Tlanchana Fest.
While she was forging her film career, she studied Communication at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Her thesis was titled “Análisis del flujo de sonido para cine en México” and focused on the practice of sound recording, mixing and sound design in the Mexican Film Industry.
She has worked extensively in the sound department in all of its capacities, from sound mixing in feature length films such as «Blanco de Verano» (released on Sundance in 2020), and the documentary «El Guardián de la Memoria” (released on Toronto in 2019). Her experience includes working as boom operator in films like «Te Prometo Anarquía» by Julio Hernández Cordón and «Perdida» by Jorge Michel Grau.
